Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of HostCert ("the Service"). By subscribing or submitting onboarding information, you agree to these terms.
1. What HostCert provides
HostCert is a record-keeping and reminder tool for UK short-term let hosts. We help you track certificate expiry dates, send reminders, and export summary records.
2. What HostCert does not provide
HostCert does not provide legal, fire safety, gas, electrical, or regulatory advice. We do not conduct inspections, fire risk assessments, or gas safety checks. You remain fully responsible for compliance with all laws, platform rules, and insurance requirements.
3. Subscription & trial
- Starter plan: £9/month (GBP), up to 5 properties
- Free trial: 14 days unless stated otherwise at checkout
- Billing: via Stripe, monthly, until cancelled
- Cancel: anytime via Stripe customer portal or email — access continues until period end
4. Refunds
If you are not satisfied within 14 days of your first paid charge, contact us for a full refund. After that, fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
5. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate property and certificate information
- Verify all dates and compliance status independently
- Keep your login and email secure
- Use the Service lawfully
6. Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. v1 dashboards may be set up manually within 24 hours of onboarding.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HostCert is not liable for fines, platform delisting, insurance issues, or any loss arising from missed renewals, incorrect data you supplied, or reliance on reminders instead of your own checks. Our total liability is limited to fees paid in the 12 months before a claim.
8. Changes
We may update these terms or pricing with notice by email or website post. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
